Philosophy of ACTIVE is to Let your Light SHINE before others, so that its foot deeds are honoured truly enabling the organization to serve the poorest of the poor.

ACTIVE was founded by a group of young people in 1985 with a spirit of service.

  • ACTIVE was registered by the Registrar of Societies at Hyderabad under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Areas) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 Fasli (Act I of 1350F).
  • ACTIVE obtained registration number in terms of Section 6(1) (a) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 from the Government of India.
  • ACTIVE was registered with Income Tax Act 1961 and got exemption under section 12A & 80 G (5)(vi) and 10(23C) (iv) & (v).

ACTIVE office is located at Khammam which is a District Headquarters in the Revenue District of Khammam situated in Andhra Pradesh, South India. Khammam is located 250 Km from Hyderabad. The district of Khammam is located between 16o45' and 18o35' Northern Latitude and 79o47' and 80o36' East Longitude.

  • To improve the Economic & Social conditions of Tribal people.
  • To provide Basic Necessities - Food, Clothing, Shelter, Medical & Educational facilities.
  • To unite the people involving them to full and active participation in programmes.
  • To improve selected villages in all Socio-economic schemes and other welfare schemes.
  • To co-operate/collaborate with Governmental and Non-governmental institutions with similar aims and objectives.
  • To adopt a holistic and gender sensitive approach to the achievement of sustainable livelihoods for rural poor, including dalits, tribals, the landless, small and marginal farmers.
  • To foster and capacitate the grassroots NGOs and CBOs by equipping them with simple and eco-friendly technologies that help the common people practice conservation.
  • To improve the economic, education, social conditions of the Tribal people by promoting socio-economic schemes.
  • To provide basic necessities of food, clothing, shelter, medical and educational facilities.
  • To organise the people to make them unite. To develop the feeling of oneness among the people and to involve the full and active participation in their own developmental programmes.
  • To improve the selected villages into model villages through integrated activities like agriculture including Irrigation, Animal husbandry, fisheries, Adult Educational, Technical Education , Extenuation and Vocational Guidance, Women and Child Welfare and care of the Aged people.
  • To Co-operate/collaborate with governmental and non-governmental institution with similar aims and objectives.
  • To take-up such other activities and in such other fields as are incidental, allied, complimentary or conductive to achieve the aims and objectives of the society.
  • To take up project for Afforestation, soil and Water Conservation for massive tree plantation, Agro-forestry, Natural Resources Management and Raising Conservation awareness through nature education camps in the operational area.
